Glastonbury 2025 Map Unveils Major Site Changes Ahead of Fallow Year

Festival-goers can expect a reimagined layout at Worthy Farm this June

Glastonbury Festival 2025 is set to return to Worthy Farm from 25–29 June, promising not only an impressive line-up but also a reimagined site layout designed to enhance the overall festival experience. With a fallow year scheduled for 2026, organisers have taken the opportunity to implement significant changes to the festival grounds, aiming to improve crowd flow, accessibility, and comfort for attendees.

Expanded Areas for Enhanced Experience

One of the most notable updates is the expansion of the Silver Hayes and The Glade areas. Silver Hayes, known for its vibrant dance and electronic music scenes, has been widened to accommodate larger audiences and reduce congestion. Similarly, The Glade has been enlarged, offering more space for festival-goers to enjoy performances in a more relaxed setting.

Introduction of the Dragon’s Tail in Shangri-La

Shangri-La, the festival's renowned late-night area, has introduced a new zone called the Dragon’s Tail. This addition not only increases the overall space but also features a relocated bar, aiming to distribute crowds more evenly and enhance the late-night experience.

Improved Infrastructure and Facilities

To address previous concerns about crowd bottlenecks, the path between The Park and Glasto-on-Sea has been widened, facilitating smoother movement across the site. Additionally, two new toilet blocks have been installed at Park Hill, aiming to reduce queues and improve sanitation facilities.

Adjustments to Camping Areas

In response to the growing number of attendees, more public camping space has been allocated in the Pylon Ground area. However, to balance the site layout, some reductions have been made in other camping zones, including Bushy Ground, South Park 2, and Pennards.

Reconfiguration of Stage Areas

The Oxlyers area has been scaled back to provide more room in the Other Stage Field, enhancing the viewing experience for performances on one of the festival's main stages. These adjustments are part of a broader effort to optimise space and improve crowd management across the festival grounds.

Anticipated Highlights and Line-Up

This year's festival boasts an impressive line-up, with headliners including The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo, and Neil Young. Other notable acts set to perform are Loyle Carner, Charli XCX, The Prodigy, Biffy Clyro, The Maccabees, Lucy Dacus, Father John Misty, RAYE, Wolf Alice, Doechii, St. Vincent, Deftones, The Libertines, Wet Leg, Weezer, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Future Islands, JADE, TV On The Radio, Self Esteem, CMAT, Blossoms, and Turnstile. With such a diverse array of artists, the festival promises a memorable experience for all attendees.

The updates to Glastonbury Festival's site layout in 2025 reflect a commitment to enhancing the overall attendee experience. By expanding key areas, improving infrastructure, and reconfiguring stage and camping zones, organisers aim to address past challenges and set a new standard for future festivals. As Worthy Farm prepares to welcome festival-goers once again, these changes are poised to contribute to an unforgettable event.
